About

Player-coach product builder, working at the intersection of frontier AI and human-centred design.

Vivid Savitri-Hampton

I'm Vivid. I build AI systems that are useful enough to ship and careful enough to defend. Based in Sydney, working across product strategy, research prototyping, and engineering.

Background spans HCI and design, AI product management (Duke), an MBA Thesis on AI-driven Applications for Experience Design (Steinbeis Hochschule, Berlin), and have lived in 12 countries across 4 continents. My startup founder journey includes two successful exits in the video game space (Shanghai and Berlin) where I learned how to find PMF and ship products with small teams under pressure.

What I work on

  • Agentic AI systems: multi-agent architectures with explicit safety envelopes, LLM orchestration, evaluation harnesses
  • MCP servers: production and prototype, both consumer-facing and inside the enterprise (Breville's DAM Butler is the most public example)
  • Privacy-first AI infrastructure: provenance-aware retrieval, longitudinal reasoning scaffolds, human-in-the-loop review gates
  • Human-AI interaction: designing experiences where AI augments decision-making instead of obscuring it

Why I care about safety

Most AI demos look good on happy-path prompts and fall apart when you ask the hard questions: provenance, override, longitudinal change, failure modes. My bet is that the products that matter five years from now are the ones whose builders took those questions seriously at the prototype stage, not after the first incident.

That's what threads my work together: multimodal memory with chain-of-custody, multi-agent trading with execution guardrails, local agents with strict tool boundaries. The use cases differ. The discipline doesn't.

Currently building

  • AI-native gameplay with agentic workflows and isolated sub-agents for parallel task execution
  • Hybrid model routing across local models (LM Studio) and OpenRouter-hosted models, including Qwen 3.x variants
  • AI evaluation frameworks aimed at product decisions, not benchmark gaming
